Nutrilite Salman Omega 3

Omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids are a type of ESSENTIAL POLY UNSATURATED FATTY ACIDS. They are unsaturated because they have double bonds between carbon atoms in the molecule. They are essential fatty acids because the body cannot produce them and therefore must be obtained through food every day. Brain is 60% fat based tissue. All the nerves are covered by Myelin Sheath which is also mostly fat.

What kind of food we are having everyday:

Medical research suggests that excessive levels of omega-6 fatty acids relative to omega-3 fatty acids may increase the probability of number of diseases. Healthy ratio of quantity of Omega-6 to Omega-3 should be 4:1.

Every day we are consuming meats or eggs or milk that contain more omega-6 than omega-3 fats. When the diet of the animal is changed, the fatty acid ratio of the food it produces is changed too. To provide optimum nutrition, cows should be fed with grass, chickens and other poultry with earthworms and fish should swim in the sea, not be on farms and force-fed antibiotics. Clearly, it is not always possible to eat this way as food produced in this manner is expensive. So, it is must to consume omega-3 as a supplement.

NUTRILITE provides Salman Omega 3 which is derived from Salman fish Liver Oil (Harvested from the deep, cold waters of the Atlantic Ocean without Mercury Contamination), one of the richest sources of Omega-3  Fatty acids.

  • Anti-cancer properties: Omega-3 is protective against colon cancer, prostate cancer and breast cancer.
  • Anti-Inflammatory Property: Omega-3 has anti-inflammatory property for joint diseases. It will reduce swelling and relieve pain in arthritis.
  • Pains in Periods: It can help in reduce pain caused by menstruation.
  • Mental Health: It helps in maintaining mental balance and avoids depression. It helps the people suffering from split personality.
  • Skin, Hair & Nails: Omega-3 has positive role in maintenance of healthy skin, healthy hair and nails.
  • Pregnancy: Omega-3 is very appropriate during pregnancy to ensure that fetus has a right brain development. Mothers who took Omega-3 have had children with a capacity of higher learning and no vision problems. Infants who don’t get enough Omega-3 during mother’s pregnancy can suffer from nerve or vision problems.
Components of Omega3:

Omega-3 is available in three forms of fatty acids.

Eicosapentaenoic Acid (EPA): Protects from heart attacks, sudden cardiac death, strokes, diabetes and even cancer.

Docosahexaenoic Acid (DHA): Protects brain and nervous system function and eye issues. It especially important for children as it helps their brain growth and immune system.

Alpha-Linolenic Acid (ALA): It is vegetarian form of Omega-3 fats and can be found in walnut and flax seeds. ALA is not at all useful to body until it gets converted to EPA and DHA.

Typically by the age of 25, we lose the enzyme that converts from ALA to EPA and DHA. So we cannot get Omega-3 fatty acids from vegetarian source. We have to take non vegetarian food rich in EPA and DHA. EPA and DHA are rich in Salman fish.

Relationship between omega-3 and omega-6:

For proper functioning of the body, the appropriate relationship between essential fatty acids omega-3 and omega-6 has to be established. Currently there is a higher proportion of omega-6 intake compared to omega-3 that ranges between 20:1 to 60:1, when the proper ratio would be 4:1, i.e. four parts of omega-6 and one part of omega-3. This enormous superiority of omega - 6 may be responsible for certain diseases, such as heart problems, depression, diabetes etc. Omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids compete for the same conversion enzymes. This means that the quantity of omega - 6 in the diet directly affects the conversion of omega - 3 ALA, found in plant foods to EPA and DHA, which protect us from disease.
The solution is to increase the intake of omega-3 and reduce the amount of foods rich in omega-6.

Life Expectancy:
According to UN DESA, Japan has topped in Average Life Expectancy with 82.73 years. India is at 147th position in Average Life Expectancy with 64.19 years.

Consumption of Omega - 3 plays vital role in deciding Life Expectancy of a person. Almost all the Health organizations around the world accepted that, Omega - 3 is very important for better Life Expectancy. Recently Government of United States has realized the importance of Omega-3 and educating the people to consume Omega- 3  to reach the goal of 4:1.

According to the tradition, people in Japan eat fresh Salman fish everyday along with their meal. The only Westernized society that reaches that goal of 4:1 is the Japanese. That is why they are considered one of the healthiest populations on the planet despite their incredibly high rate of cigarette smoking.

In India, Omega-6 and Omega-3 intake ratio is 20:1 to 60:1. That is the reason why India is not under 100 ranks in every measured health barometer.

According to WHO, by 2010, 60% of world’s heart patients will be Indians, which has been already come true. So Omega-3 is very important. Life Expectancy can be improved by using Nutrilite Salman Omega 3 every day.
